Covid-19 Updates

Update- September 6, 2021

Due to the revised Alberta Public Health measures announced Sept 3, 2021, regrettably, the Tim Tamashiro show scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2021 and the Karac Hendriks performance on Saturday, October 9, 2021 has been postponed to a future date.

Update- August 7, 2021

Kinosoo Performing Arts Association (KPAA) in partnership with the Lakeland Inn, Cold Lake are proud to announce our upcoming 2021/2022 Performances. In the last few months a few show dates have been changed and the MacDaddy performance has now been finalized.

Unfortunately, there is still some uncertainty regarding future health restrictions and for that reason, the KPAA board has decided to only sell single tickets for each show. We have also decided to not get too far ahead of ourselves on future show ticket sales. Currently tickets are on sale at the Lakeland Inn for the Tim Tamashiro, “When your Smiling” show and the Karac Hendriks country performance. Tickets are $30 cash at the Lakeland Inn front desk. In addition, an optional buffet dinner is available prior to the performance at an additional cost. The menu for the dinner will be posted with the show information on the Kinosoo Performing Arts website and on our facebook page.

Kinosoo Performing Arts Association Update

Dear Kinosoo Performing Arts ticket holders and future patrons,

These past few months have been challenging for everyone and the uncertainty of future shows makes planning difficult for our committee. As many of you know, last season’s show (Tim Tamashiro) for April 4, 2020 was postponed due to the Covid pandemic. The rescheduling of this performance remains in the planning stages.

Also, our 40th Anniversary special show on Saturday, May 23, 2020 (The Chevelles) was also impacted and it has now been rescheduled for Saturday, May 15, 2021. Individuals who have purchased tickets for the Chevelles may use them for the rescheduled date. However, if you are unable to attend this performance, a ticket refund is available until December 31, 2020. To receive a refund, please return your tickets to us by mail. Once received, a refund of $40 per ticket will be issued. The mailing address is:

The first performance of our 2020-2021 season is Ken Lavigne (Three Knights with a Tenor) on Saturday, October 10, 2020. In August, the Kinosoo Performing Arts Board of Directors will make a decision as to whether or not this show can proceed. There are many factors to consider: the Provincial Health regulations and requirements, the ability of the performer to travel, and the economic viability to have a performance based on a restricted seating capacity. If the board decides to proceed with the show, single tickets will go on sale. A second wave of Covid infection is a possibility and, for that reason, we feel we should sell single tickets for individual shows rather a series package. Single tickets will be sold for $30. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Lakeland Inn main desk or if any remain at the door.

Our goal is to salvage what we can from our upcoming season. However, we are extremely concerned for the welfare of our patrons and we will only proceed with a performance if it is safe to do so.

Thank you for your understanding and commitment to the Arts.
